Victor Osimhen is a wanted man. The Napoli forward had an amazing breakthrough 2022/23 season, which helped the club to their first Serie A title since 1990 when Diego Maradona was operating for the Naples club. The former is getting closer to achieving the sort of hero status afforded to the 1986 World Cup winner, but will the striker remain in Naples next season? The leading soccer betting sites have priced where he will be playing next season.

At present, it appears that the Nigerian is going to remain with Napoli, even if Chelsea are reported to be interested in his signature. There has been the obligatory big-money offer from the Saudi Arabia Pro League, although it appears that any move is likely to be to another European club rather than one in the Middle East.

Osimhen is revered by the Napoli fanbase, but there has inevitably been speculation regarding his future. Some of the big clubs across Europe might be ready to test the Serie A outfit’s resolve with some mega money offers, with Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Chelsea heading the latest football betting markets.

The latest Victor Osimhen transfer betting odds on betting apps imply that he could remain at Napoli for at least another season, and perhaps there’s more mileage in his career at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, but clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City might well keep tabs on a player who could be a contender to win a Ballon d’Or in the future.

Manchester United Among Favourites to Sign Osimhen

Since 2020, the 24-year-old has scored 45 goals in 76 appearances for Napoli, and that could be just the start of things to come from the former Lille player. He has already scored 17 goals in 24 international appearances for Nigeria, and it’s these sort of numbers that might alert Manchester United considering they are short of a centre forward right now.

While Marcus Rashford has enjoyed a fantastic season in front of goal, there’s a general consensus that the England man operates best from the left-side of the pitch, and perhaps Osimhen could be the marquee signing at Old Trafford ahead of the 2023/24 season, with money available to Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag this summer.

While Napoli are in the Champions League next term, the same is likely to apply to United, and Osimhen has no doubt grown up knowing all about the size of a club such as the north-west giant, with Ten Hag’s side currently the favourites to snap up a player who is one of the hottest properties in the world right now.

Could Osimhen Replace Sadio Mane at Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich are set to wave goodbye to one of the best African players in the world, with Senegal's Sadio Mane having arrived from Liverpool last summer although he could now be switching to the Pro League. Perhaps they can persuade Nigerian Osimhen that his future now lies at the Allianz Arena, with Thomas Tuchel now at the helm.

Tuchel would no doubt be interested in capturing players to strengthen the squad in the summer ahead of another Champions League assault, with Bayern not yet replacing the goals of Robert Lewandowski who joined Barcelona last summer.

There is plenty to like about the pace and power that comes with a young forward who is currently under contract at Napoli, but the Italian club might still consider this to be a good time to cash in on a player whose market value is thought to be north of £100 million. Bayern are among the teams in the mix, according to the best bookies.

Chelsea Also In Need of Centre Forward Like Osimhen

When it comes to a potential big-money signing, then Chelsea are always in the conversation. They say a fool and his money are easily parted, and the London outfit spent north of £500 million last season and finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table having been dumped out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.

Owner Todd Boehly will want the incoming manager to strengthen the squad and cast off unwanted players, with this potentially freeing up a space for Victor Osimhen in the side. There’s no doubt that Chelsea are in desperate need of a firepower right now, and scoring goals has been a big issue throughout last season. However, they have already landed Christian Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson this summer.

Indeed, players such as Timo Werner, Romelu Lukaku, Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have not been the answer for a club who have big spending power but they wouldn’t be able to offer new signings European football next term. It hasn’t stopped new betting sites installing Chelsea as one of the favourites.

Could Paris Saint-Germain Replace Messi With Osimhen?

There has been plenty of speculation linking Osimhen with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, and that’s partly down to PSG’s sporting advisor Luis Campos having played a key role in helping Lille land the Nigerian before he was subsequently snapped up by Napoli in 2020.

Perhaps the task is harder in terms of luring Osimhen from his beloved Naples right now, but PSG are certainly not short of money, after seeing Lionel Messi decide to sign for Inter Miami.

That will free up a place for Victor Osimhen, who would have the opportunity to link up with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, with the player’s agent remaining coy on this particular speculation.
