Carlisle need to start collecting League Two wins to stand any chance of the play-offs
Keith Curle’s team have ten games left to try and force their way into the top seven positions of League Two and the manager is acutely aware that fast wins are required starting with Good Friday’s clash in Somerset.
Carlisle are a best price 9/5 with William Hill to beat Yeovil as the Blues look to end a five-match winless run and put pressure on the teams above them as we enter the business end of the campaign.
The United manager said: “Now is the time of season, with lads playing and performing, to go and rest, mentally and physically.
“They were given programmes but it was also important they had some down-time.
“There is a massive weekend ahead of us now with six points up for grabs in a short space of time.”
Carlisle have won five matches away from home this term, drawing eight and losing the other five games. They last tasted an away win on 27 February when enjoying that dramatic victory at Morecambe, although three-point hauls have been tough to find since then.
Yeovil sit 20th in the League Two table and they are 9/5 with bet365 to effectively end Carlisle’s hopes of promotion this season by winning this game and boosting their survival chances.
BetVictor have 12/5 about the draw and that has been the outcome in eight of Carlisle’s eighteen away matches this term.
