A weekend of surprises have seen the Gunners emerge as favourites to win the FA Cup following the exit of Chelsea and Manchester City to lower league opposition.
Perhaps the biggest surprise was a 0-0 draw at the Abbey Stadium, tiny Cambridge United keeping Manchester United at bay for 90 minutes on Friday evening and earning a welcome money-spinning replay at Old Trafford.
Chelsea were stunned by a tremendous comeback by Bradford City on Saturday, the Bantams clawing their way back from two goals down at Stamford Bridge to win by an astonishing 4-2.
Manchester City were also expected to sweep past Championship side Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon at the Etihad, however the north-east men has other ideas and left with a 2-0 win and a passage through to the fifth round.
Sunday brought no such surprises, Premier League sides West Ham, Aston Villa and Arsenal all managing to overcome lower-league opposition and the Gunners are now favourites at 5/2 to go all the way in the competition for the second season in succession.
Manchester United and Liverpool both face replays to determine their future in this season’s competition, the Red Devils expected to overcome their Cambridge opponents at the second time of asking and Brendan Rodgers’ Reds looking to beat Bolton at Anfield following their 0-0 draw in the first match.
