Arsenal and Leicester City both 2/1 to win Premier League although Foxes have five-point advantage
Leicester City have passed pretty much every test they’ve been handed this season and the biggest one was winning at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
If people weren’t convinced by the Foxes before their 3-1 victory against Manchester City, then everyone is sitting up and taking notice of the way they are adopting a fearless and ultimately fruitful approach against the big-hitters of the division.
Having been backed at a high of 5,000/1 at the beginning of the season, Leicester are now 2/1 with bet365 to win the Premier League title and they were temporarily favourites after Saturday’s magnificent win.
However, Arsenal’s 2-0 victory at Bournemouth on Sunday saw the Gunners remain in the title mix and they are also 2/1 with bet365 despite that five-point gap.
A bet365 spokesman told bookies.com: “We were impressed by Leicester against City although still happy to go 7/2 about them winning at the Emirates on Sunday.
“Arsenal will have the bit between their teeth next weekend and we’ve already seen money for the Gunners at 3/4”.
Bet365 go 10/3 about Manchester City winning the title despite Saturday’s setback, while Tottenham are certainly in the race after beating Watford and they are 5/1 to claim an unlikely title crown.
One thing seems virtually certain – Leicester will be playing Champions League football next season, with bet365 going 1/14 about the Foxes finishing in the top four.
Indeed, the bookies expect the top four to remain for the remainder of the campaign, with Manchester United as big as 7/4 to claim a spot in the Champions League following a 1-1 draw at Chelsea.
