Stoke City head the betting market to win the Championship and seal promotion back to the Premier League
Stoke City spent ten fairly successful years in the Premier League although the Potters were relegated from the top flight in May and are now plotting a route back to the big time.
Gary Rowett has already been recruited as the new Stoke manager and he will be given plenty of spending money to make the Midlands side highly competitive in the Championship, with bet365 going 7/1 about City winning the league.
Bet365 are the successful betting company who have effectively powered Stoke from a financial point-of-view, with Premier League parachute payments also likely to help bolster a squad which is in need of repair after a sorry relegation.
Bet365 also anticipate strong challenges from West Brom and Swansea who join Stoke in the Championship after also being relegated, although we might see Middlesbrough and Aston Villa have a say too.
Boro are 9/1 to win the league and will have Tony Pulis at the helm, someone who has previously enjoyed promotion with Stoke, while the Villans were one step away from getting promoted and they are a 10/1 chance.
Leeds United make more appeal at 16/1 if manager Paul Heckingbottom is given funds at Elland Road, while Wigan Atletic are 33/1 and have the makings of a good squad following their promotion from League One.
