Burton and Liverpool should serve up a goalfest in the EFL Cup
Jurgen Klopp nearly landed the League Cup with Liverpool last season and the German will hope to go one better this season, with the Reds making the short trip to Staffordshire this evening for a clash with Burton.
Liverpool have begun the season with a 4-3 win at Arsenal and a 2-0 reverse at Burnley, with Anfield continuing to be developed which means the Reds remain on the road.
The Merseyside team are plenty short enough to claim victory tonight, with Klopp expected to name a strong team for this clash which will include Danny Ings and Divock Origi.
Emre Can and Jordan Henderson are also likely to be in the starting XI, with Burton likely to pose plenty of problems considering the Brewers have scored twelve goals in their five matches to date.
All but one of these matches have featured four goals or more. So with Liverpool’s firepower, it seems logical to go for goals once again.
