Celtic can enjoy a bloodless Old Firm victory over arch-rivals Rangers when the teams meet on Saturday lunchtime
Graeme Murty is the latest Rangers manager to try and make them competitive in the Scottish Premier League, with the Gers currently the third-best team in the division and some way off the level that Celtic have reached over previous campaigns.
This will be Murty’s first taste of an Old Firm clash since replacing Pedro Caixinha and it’s a tall order for a team who aren’t in particularly good form following recent defeats against St Johnstone and Kilmarnock.
There was a 2-0 victory over Motherwell although those previous defeats illustrate that the defence can be fragile and there will be gaps exploited by a Celtic team who are getting back on track.
There was a shock 4-0 reverse at Hearts although that result has been followed by three victories and they have been accompanied by clean sheets, with Brendan Rodgers determined to arrest a run of six games without shutting out the opposition.
The 3-0 win over Aberdeen last Saturday illustrated that Celtic are capable of outclassing the best that the division has to offer and we’re happy to back them to win the game without conceding. Paddy Power free bets have 13/10 and it should be noted that they have conceded just seven at home in ten matches.
Murty will be keen to silence the Celtic Park crowd in the early exchanges and we’re happy to bet against the away side finding the net which is what happened when Celtic won 2-0 at Ibrox earlier this term.
