We’re excited about the return of the Champions League including Inter v Spurs, Liverpool v PSG and Man City v Lyon
We’re now down to thirty-two teams in the 2018/19 Champions League, with several high-profile teams in action on 18 September when the group stage kicks off.
Liverpool reached the final last season before losing to Real Madrid and the Reds have a humdinger against PSG at Anfield, with the champions of France likely to pose a stern challenge to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have been handed a difficult Champions League opener away to Internazionale, with Spurs having engineered a course through the group stage last season and they’ll be confident heading to the San Siro.
Atletico Madrid are the favourites to win Group A and they head to Monaco for their first match of the group stage, while Barcelona look to have a highly winnable clash against PSV.
On Wednesday evening, Manchester City get their Champions League campaign under way with a clash against Lyon and it’s no surprise to see Pep Guardiola’s side as favourites to win the competition this time around.
Holders Real Madrid entertain Roma, with Young Boys clashing with Manchester United and Jose Mourinho will feel this competition is the last opportunity to come away from Old Trafford being regarded as a success.
