We look ahead to the first leg matches in the Champions League last sixteen including the clashes between Juventus v Tottenham and Chelsea v Barcelona
It’s been a few weeks to wait, although the Champions League is back next week, with Juventus v Tottenham Hotspur a mouth-watering tie which sees the Italian champions clash with one of the leading teams in England.
On the same evening, FC Basel will tackle a Manchester City team who were surprisingly held at Burnley last weekend, although Pep Guardiola’s side are still heavy favourites to come through in Switzerland.
The following night, we have Porto clashing with Liverpool and the Reds are slight favourites to overcome Portuguese opponents, although the lack of creativity in the midfield area is beginning to prove a problem.
Real Madrid and PSG clash on Wednesday night, with Real having a difficult season against a Paris Saint Germain team who are bouncing clear of their competitors at the top of Ligue 1.
Chelsea clash with Barcelona on 20 February, with Antonio Conte operating in a difficult situation at Stamford Bridge, while Bayern Munich meet Besiktas on the same night.
Sevilla go up against Manchester United on 21 February, while Shakhtar meet Roma and it’s going to be an exciting two weeks of football before we contemplate the second leg matches.
