Dortmund v Leverkusen tips – Back Bayer to win and both to score

Despite Dortmund's superb start to the season, Leverkusen have been a bogey side for Thomas Tuchel's team, so back them with Boylesports.

As Bundesliga big-guns Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen prepare to do battle, Boylesports are offering a brilliant bet for Bayer to win and both teams to bag goals at excellent odds of 13/2.

Why is this worth a wager? Leverkusen have proven to be BVB’s bogey team in recent history, and could be a banana skin for Borussia, who have failed to beat them in the previous four fixtures, yet again, as they face for the first time in the league this term.

Dortmund are certainly on a dangerous run but Bayer have ambitions of their own, and will be baying for blood at the Westfalenstadion, where they have beaten the Black and Yellows in two successive seasons.

Roger Schmidt’s side certainly had the better of their rivals last campaign, plucking four points from their two encounters, and possess an attacking contingent more than capable of stopping BVB in their tracks.

Dortmund has been a happy hunting ground for both Karim Bellarabi, a genuine threat from the flanks, and frontman Stefan Kiessling after the potent pair both found the Westfalenstadion net in the previous meeting. You can back the German duo at 12/1 and 15/8 to net first and anytime respectively, both with bet365.

Bayer also looked particularly potent last time out, sharpening their shooting boots with a 4-1 thrashing of BATE Borisov, including goals from cunning set piece threat Hakan Calhanoglu and former Manchester United marksman Javier Hernandez, while Dortmund toiled against Russian also-rans Krasnador.

With Tuchel leading his Dortmund team to the top of the league table in swashbuckling fashion, however, it would seem unwise to bet against goals to come from both sides.

The hosts boast a formidable hitman in Gabon goal-getter Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has nabbed five in four league outings and been ably assisted by support artists Shinji Kagawa and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with the Armenian conductor no slouch in the scoring department himself.
