Draw a decent bet for Cardiff v Wolves Championship clash

Odds of 12/5 with a number of bookies for a share of the spoils look highly tempting for the Sky live Saturday tea time match

The likes of bet365, BetFred, Ladbrokes and Coral are all offering a brilliant best-price of 12/5 for Cardiff City and Wolverhampton Wanderers to draw their Championship encounter, which is live on Sky Sports 1 at 17:15 on Saturday.

That bet is all the more tempting given that the Bluebirds have shared the spoils in their opening three league games this season, while Wolves also took a point off Hull City either side of a win and loss.

Kenny Jackett’s men drew 1-1 with the Tigers on home turf on matchweek two, while the Welsh outfit have recorded that scoreline twice already this term, against Fulham and Blackburn Rovers. That result again here at the Cardiff City Stadium, therefore, is highly enticing at 6/1 with

For goals, the Bluebirds have have four different scorers already, each on one, with the likes of Joe Mason (14/5 with Stan James) and Craig Noone (11/2 with Paddy Power and Betway) finding the net.

However, their long-serving goalscoring midfielder Peter Whittingham is still on Cardiff’s books, and the former Aston Villa player hit a hat-trick here against Wolves in 2012/13 so is a fantastic 9/2 (best priced with bet365 and Betfred) to net anytime. He is a huge 400/1 with William Hill to get another treble, meanwhile.

Wolves’ Benik Afobe represents their best chance of striking, having already scored first against Blackburn and QPR, and the former Arsenal attacker is 19/10 in the anytime market. The England Under-21 international is also an enticing 11/2 chance to break the deadlock.

Both clubs are mid-table after their first three league games this term, with Wolves one point and three places ahead of Cardiff on four up in 11th, so expect this to be a close contest once more. You can back them at 5/1 (with Paddy Power) and 20/1 (Sky Bet) respectively, meanwhile, for them to get promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season. top tip – 1-1 draw @ 6/1 with
