Lukaku second favourite behind Harry Kane although the Belgian could have joy against the Blue Samurai
When Romelu Lukaku limped off against Tunisia and then Harry Kane scored a hat-trick against Panama the next day, the former’s Golden Boot prospects didn’t look very good.
However, the Manchester United forward will be fighting fit to face Japan at the last sixteen stage and odds of 4/1 with William Hill could be worth taking before the striker takes to the field against the Blue Samurai.
Lukaku will be hoping to notch a couple of goals that takes his team into the last eight and also takes him clear at the top of the scoring charts ahead of Harry Kane meeting Colombia the following day.
Cristiano Ronaldo is also on four goals although Paddy Power have 11/2 about the Portugal captain and it should be noted that he might struggle to find the net against Uruguay on Saturday.
Diego Costa is an 8/1 chance and the Spain forward is on three goals and potentially about to fill his boots against Russia, with the striker giving La Roja a more direct option.
