Visitors Viola to take advantage of Juventus’ vulnerabilities?

Salah struck a brace against the Old Lady earlier this term

Juve v Fiorentina

Can Vincenzo Montella's men stall Juventus' title charge with triumph in Turin?

Feisty Fiorentina will travel to Turin aiming to extend Juventus’ recent miserly run of just one victory in their last three Serie A outings, despite the home team edging ever closer to securing the Scudetto.

The Old Lady succumbed to fierce rivals Torino and basement battlers Parma in quick succession, so Viola are a best market price of 5/1 with BetVictor to capitalise on Juve’s recent stumble and take the spoils from this tussle.

However, the hosts have history on their side, having lost just one of their past 13 league outings against their Florentine visitors.

Monaco were the last to be unable to breach Juve’s belligerent backline and Fiorentina may not fare much better, as the Old Lady has shut them out in five of their past six Serie A duels.

As usually vibrant Viola have netted just once in their previous three league games, the champions elect are 13/10 with Coral to keep a clean sheet against their guests again.

Vincenzo Montella’s men will, however, take confidence from more recent results. The two Italian giants have already battled three times across all competitions this term and, after claiming one win apiece and grinding out a stalemate in the reverse, are priced by BoyleSports at 14/5 to split the spoils again.

Fiorentina outfoxed Massimiliano Allegri on Turin turf in the Coppa Italia earlier this term, and the travelling Tuscan team are 4/1 with PaddyPower to pounce on Juve again as they aim to snaffle a European spot.

Chelsea-owned wingman Mohamed Salah bagged a brace on that occasion, and the Egypt international’s pace on the counter should once again pose problems, so back the speedster at 5/1 in the anytime market courtesy of 888Sport.

German marksman Mario Gomez is also back among the goals after grabbing the opener against Dynamo Kiev and is 15/8 with BetFred to draw first blood once more.

As for the Old Lady, their attacking threat should certainly put them in pole position to snatch all three points. Top Serie A striker Carlos Tevez is expected to return to the starting XI after being rested against Torino, and is to 7/2 to strike first with SkyBet and add to his excellent tally of 18 league goals.

Fernando Llorente could also feature after Alvaro Morata’s uninspiring recent outings, and the Basque frontman is available at 6/4 from William Hill to fire home anytime, while priceless pass-master Andrea Pirlo is 5/1 in the same market following his superb set piece against Torino.
