Wolfsburg have enjoyed a successful rise to prominence this term and will hope to secure silverware success, but a visit from Dortmund is their immediate concern

Dieter Hecking’s Wolfsburg have enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence this current campaign, having been recently crowned Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich’s closest challengers in second place.

Silverware success is also a strong possibility for Die Wolfe this term, with Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund standing in their way in the DFB-Pokal final, but the two sides will first meet in a Bundesliga clash.

A rejuvenated Black and Yellows outfit are a best-priced 15/8 with Betfred to overcome Wolfsburg in their visit to the Volksvagen Arena, with the hosts available at 13/8 with bet365 for a triumph win.

After announcing his imminent departure from the Signal-Iduna-Park, Klopp has seen his Dortmund side climb up the German top-flight table and also stunningly overcome bitter rivals Bayern on penalties in their Pokal semi-final meeting.

Having dauntingly dropped into the relegation zone earlier in the current campaign, after an abysmal beginning to the season, Dortmund have rallied back to within touching distance of a Europa League position.

Schalke currently occupy that final European place, but a win over Wolfsburg could potentially see Klopp’s men climb above Roberto Di Matteo’s strugglers, who are on a faltering domestic decline having won just a single league game in their previous eight outings.

In the reverse fixture, the spoils were shared at 2-2, with Belgium international playmaker Kevin De Bruyne netting for Wolfsburg and clinical Gabonian forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opening proceedings for Dortmund.

In-form De Bruyne is a 28/13 chance to net anytime with 888.com, while Aubameyang is available at 6/1 with Sky Bet to strike the game’s opener again. Superb German wideman Marco Reus was on target in both Bundesliga fixtures last season and he can be taken up at 15/8 with Coral to strike again anytime in his latest appearance.

Both sides will be aiming to build momentum ahead of their upcoming DFB-Pokal final match-up, with this rehearsal encounter set to be potentially thrilling clash.

Betting tip: Reus to score anytime @ 15/8 with Coral
