lewis-hamilton looks ahead to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Hungary with Lewis Hamilton the favourite

As the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Hungary nears, Lewis Hamilton is the overwhelming odds-on favourite at 1/2 with PaddyPower for another victory.

In what has been an emotional couple of weeks in which the Formula 1 world said goodbye to French driver Jules Bianchi following a freak accident, attention now turns to Budapest, and Hamilton intends to honour his friend in the best way possible; by giving his all.

“I will be carrying Jules with me in my prayers and thoughts, not only this race but for the rest of my driving days. I know he’d want us to race hard as he did, and so I will,” said Hamilton, who has won two out of the last three races.

Also leading the Drivers’ Championship by 17 points from Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg, Hamilton raced well last time out and will be looking for a similar performance in Hungary, after revealing: “Hungary is a beautiful place, one of my favourites”.

Having achieved the fastest lap time at Silverstone, the Brit is the favourite with Ladbrokes at 11/10 to repeat this in Budapest and odds-on at 1/2 with BoyleSports to get pole position on the grid once more.

Meanwhile, last year’s winner Daniel Ricciardo is taking the build-up in his stride and is 22/1 with bet365 to achieve a podium finish.

“The Hungarian Grand Prix has a lot going for it. Personally, I love these races in the European summer when you have the high temperatures and – usually – the great weather, plus it’s the final race before the summer break and that tends to put everyone in a good mood,” said the Australian driver.

“There’s usually a really good party on Sunday night and, because of the break everyone tends to stay and have fun. Budapest is a cool city, really good restaurants and bars, really nice, really loyal fans and basically a great place to have a Grand Prix. That’s the short version.”

Ferrari driver Sebastien Vettel secured his sixth podium finish of the season last time out and is good value at 1/2 with BoyleSports to achieve another. recommended tip: Hamilton to win @ 1/2 with PaddyPower
