5 49ers-Cardinals Prop Bets & Betting Lines to Back on TNF

The unbeaten and nearly untested San Francisco 49ers look to move to 8-0, but they’ll have to do it on a short week and on the road, facing the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.

San Francisco is a solid 5-2 against the spread this season, but 1-4 ATS in its last five against sub-.500 teams. The Cardinals, who fit into that category at 3-4-1, have won three of four behind rookie QB Kyler Murray.

Let’s take a look at some of the best bets fans of NFL betting should consider:

PICK 1: 49ers -9.5

The Cardinals have won three of their last four games, but all of them were by six points or less and against non-contenders. Their last three against playoff-caliber teams – the Panthers, Seahawks and Saints – they’ve lost all of them by at least 17 points.

San Francisco’s top-ranked defense is going to give Murray fits, and its offense will be able to move downfield. Lay the points now before it reaches -10.

PICK 2: Under 43 Points

Cardinals rookie QB Kyler Murray will have to face the top-ranked defense in the NFL.

The Cardinals have an inconsistent rookie at QB and their choice between two banged-up RBs and a newly acquired Kenyan Drake. They’re going to need a fantastic effort from Murray to contribute much to the total.

The Under is 4-1 against teams with a winning record, it’s 4-1 in the 49ers’ last five games and it’s 4-1 in the last five meetings between these teams.

PICK 3: Highest Scoring Half – Second

The Niners have made a habit of pulling away in the third quarter of games. They’re averaging 10.1 ppg in the third, most in the league, and their 17 ppg in the second half is 4.5 points higher than what they tally in the first half. In fact, both teams on the season have scored more in the second half and allowed more points in the second half.

PICK 4: First Score – 49ers FG

San Francisco has scored first in five of their seven games. In five of Arizona’s first seven games, the opponent has scored first. Will it be a touchdown or a field goal?

When the Niners have scored first, three have been TDs, two FGs. In Arizona games, the opponent has opened with TDs three times, FGs twice. The odds are higher for a Niners three-pointer on the board first.

PICK 5: First Team to Score TD – 49ers

Richard Sherman and the 49ers defense is giving up just 11 points a game this season.

The 49ers have scored the first TD in five of their seven games, the Cardinals have done the same in only three of their seven. With the way San Francisco’s top-ranked defense is playing – and the way Arizona’s 29th-ranked defense is playing – the Niners should get into the end zone first.
