Kyle Larson is draining the drama out of the NASCAR regular season – and draining the betting value out of race winners on the sport’s top circuit. Larson has won four consecutive Cup Series events, including three in points events and one non-points All-Star Race. So fans seeking bang for their NASCAR betting buck are having to look beyond Victory Lane.

And they can find it. Ross Chastain scored a stunning runner-up finish last weekend at Nashville, with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Daniel Suarez scoring top-10 results that were just as surprising. The top Ford driver last weekend wasn’t Kevin Harvick or Brad Keselowski, but Aric Almirola. Chastain was also in the top-10 at Sonoma. Same with Chris Buescher and Tyler Reddick at Charlotte. They’re not as showy as winners, but these days their NASCAR Odds might be better bets.

Because Larson is rolling. With his victory at Nashville, he became the first Cup driver to win three straight points events since Keselowski in 2018. If Larson takes the opener of this weekend’s Pocono doubleheader, he’ll be the first to win four straight since Jimmie Johnson in 2007. Can he do it? His +225 odds at the best online sportsbooks to win Saturday’s event are light years ahead of the +750 of No. 2 odds choice Denny Hamlin.

Pocono Organics CBD 325 at Pocono Raceway Expert Picks and Predictions

Christopher Bell Top 3, +1000

It’s crazy to concede the winner’s spot Saturday to Larson, especially when he’s trying to do something last accomplished by a seven-time champion more than a decade ago. But the way he’s running makes it hard to back anyone else. So we’re taking our own advice and going with Bell to crack the top three.

It has been a long time since Bell’s victory on the Daytona road course in February, but he’s coming off a solid run at Nashville and he has surprised at Pocono before — finishing fourth there last year with a far less competitive car than the Joe Gibbs Racing vehicle he’s in now. If you must go with Larson, who was fifth there in his most recent start in 2019, at least pair it at sports betting sites with some props (top Chevy driver, Hendrick to win and the like) to try to maximize your winnings.

Pocono Organics CBD 325 at Pocono Raceway Betting Tips

Larson has never won at Pocono (and has finished 23rd or worse in two of his last three starts) but he had a nice run of results there earlier in his career. No. 2 odds choice Hamlin has six career Pocono wins and has been first, second and first over his last three Pocono starts. Hamlin’s +180 odds for a top-three result are certainly tempting, even if his finishes have been inconsistent and he has yet to win this season.

Kyle Busch, the No. 3 odds choice, has three Pocono wins since 2017. But the sleeper might be Kevin Harvick, who has been first and second in the two most recent Pocono races, and has finished worse than sixth on the big triangle just once since 2015. While the struggles of Harvick and Hamlin this year add credence to the theory that drivers in the thick of the title chase will be behind in performance the following season, it’s hard to imagine both of them going winless all year. And with top-10s in six of his last eight, Harvick hasn’t run as poorly as that goose egg might indicate.

Keselowski also has lots of recent good runs at Pocono, finishing worse than 11th just once since 2015. Almirola has been third and fifth in his last two Pocono starts, but it’s hard to have much faith in him given how poorly that team has run all year (last week aside). And with top-10s in three of his last four starts, first-year Ganassi driver Chastain now brings the best car he has ever had to Pocono — where he’s +1800 to crack the top three.
