South Point 400 Odds, Tips & Picks for NASCAR at Las Vegas

South Point 400 Odds, Tips & Picks for NASCAR at Las Vegas

The NASCAR Playoffs field has been trimmed to 12, but there’s no change at the top. On the strength of Saturday night’s victory at Bristol, Kevin Harvick has further entrenched himself as the favorite for the Cup Series championship, with +150 odds of winning the title in the latest NASCAR odds.

The real separation among the leaders has begun, with Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski trying to keep pace with Harvick. Hanging around the periphery is Joey Logano, who’s won two of the last three races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway – where the circuit competes Sunday in the South Point 400 – including the most recent event in February.

But Logano is winless since NASCAR returned from its coronavirus hiatus and looks like a driver who’s missing practice time. Now +900 to in NASCAR title odds, Sunday represents perhaps Logano’s best chance to muscle back in on the championship conversation.

Kevin Harvick to Win

Ride the wave, baby, particularly when you can get this value out of the sport’s best driver. Harvick has won five of the last nine races, and his off-the-truck speed gives him a clear edge every week. He’s also won twice in Vegas, where he led 92 laps in February. Harvick is capable of winning anywhere right now, and when the moneyline is as right as it is this week, bettors should take advantage. Grab the bet at DraftKings.

Brad Keselowski Top 3

A solid five-week run for Keselowski, capped by a victory at Richmond, was ended by a power steering problem that left him well off the pace in last Saturday night’s Bristol race. Las Vegas is a promising track for a rebound — Keselowski’s three victories on the 1.5-mile tri-oval are eclipsed only by Jimmie Johnson, and the Penske driver has finished seventh or better in his last 10 starts in the desert. Bet on him with BetAmerica.

Joey Logano Top 3

When the coronavirus halted NASCAR, Logano led the series with two victories and stood one point behind Harvick in the standings. Since the sport resumed, Logano's average finish is 13th. While Logano has been more competitive lately, he’s rarely been in a position to win. Las Vegas, where his average finish of eighth leads all active drivers and he has solid notes from his February victory, represents a chance he can’t let slip away. Bet Logano at FOX Bet.

Austin Dillon Top Chevrolet

While Chase Elliott at +135 is the odds favorite among the bow-tie brigade, it’s tough to resist the value offered by Dillon, who has finished top-10 in four of his last six starts on non-superspeedway venues and is typically very good on fast tri-ovals like Las Vegas. Dillon finished fourth at Las Vegas earlier this season and cashed his playoff ticket with a victory at Texas, a similar layout to the one he’ll compete on Sunday. Grab Dillon’s odds at DraftKings.

Kyle Busch Top Toyota

Busch chased Harvick over a riveting final 100 laps at Bristol but was left still searching for his first victory of the season. Yet the effort continued an uptick in performance for Busch, who’s finished seventh or better in his last three starts. He now visits his hometown track, where his seven career top-5s are tied for best. His value and recent performance give Busch the edge over Toyota stablemates Martin Truex Jr. (+125) and Hamlin (+200). Find the best odds at Unibet.

Ford Winning Manufacturer

Oddsmakers finally seem to be catching up to Ford, with a negative moneyline number that reflects both the manufacturer’s strength this season and at Las Vegas. The blue oval boys have won 17 of the 29 races contested so far this season, and five of the last seven in Vegas. Harvick, Keselowski and Logano are three of the top four in odds for Sunday, and a Ford bet also includes able challengers Ryan Blaney and Clint Bowyer. Bet on Ford with FOX Bet.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Top 10

Stenhouse has been relegated to also-ran status for much of this season, without a single-digit finish since he placed second at Talladega in June. But he seems to have a feel for Las Vegas, where he’s finished sixth or better in two of his last three starts. His third-place run there in February was his best ever at the track, driving the same second-tier JTG/Daugherty Racing car he’ll pilot this weekend. Bet on him with BetMGM.
