Kane’s fluky hat-trick against Panama means that he’s now the Golden Boot front runner at the World Cup
Harry Kane has had a wonderful World Cup thus far, scoring five goals against Tunisia and Panama which puts him top of the scoring charts for the tournament.
It might get a little tougher for the Tottenham man now that England will be facing higher calibre teams although he’s the 7/4 favourite with bet365 to top score at the 2018 World Cup.
There will be few other players in the World Cup who will manage to score this many goals and Kane clearly has the ability to add to his tally, with Gareth Southgate likely to field the captain for the Belgium game.
Considering that Romelu Lukaku has four goals and will apparently miss the England match, then it explains why the Belgian is a 9/2 poke, while Cristiano Ronaldo will go into battle against Iran and he’s a 3/1 poke after also scoring four goals thus far.
Diego Costa is on three goals and he’s 6/1 ahead of Spain’s match against Morocco, with four players now seemingly in the running unless Neymar can do something spectacular against Serbia.
The PSG forward only has one goal to his name so far, with bet365 going 20/1 that he wins the Golden Boot although his Brazil team could go deep into the tournament.
