It’s all going a bit Pete Tong for Jose Mourinho this season who has seen his Chelsea team go from champions to a team who are looking unlikely to actually qualify for the Champions League next season.
While it’s still early days, Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at West Ham saw Nemanja Matic sent off on the stroke of half-time before Mourinho himself was sent to the stands and then the Hammers claimed victory which leaves the Blues in the lower reaches of the Premier League table.

It appears there has been some kind of falling out in the dressing room, with Eden Hazard and Matic thought to be unhappy with the manager who has a history of ruffling feathers and clashing with senior players.
Chelsea travel to Stoke on Tuesday for a Capital One Cup clash, with the Blues then hosting Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime and Mourinho might completely neglect any media duties after making the decision not to speak to journalists after Saturday’s defeat.
Steve McClaren is the current favourite on the Sack Race market after Newcastle were soundly beaten in the Tyne-Wear derby although it appears the manager might get more time to get things right at the club.
