Liverpool expected to go well in next season’s Champions League after reaching the final of the 2017/18 tournament
There was huge disappointment in Kiev as Liverpool lost the Champions League final against Real Madrid, although the Reds will be back in September to compete in Europe’s premier competition once again.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were around 33/1 to win the 2017/18 tournament, although bet365 make them just 10/1 shots to go one better next season and they have already strengthened their squad with the signing of Fabinho.
Barcelona are the 9/2 favourites to win the 2018/19 Champions League, with the Catalan side having claimed a facile La Liga title. Lionel Messi will be looking to spearhead a concerted challenge although Barca keep falling short in recent years.
Holders Real Madrid are 6/1 with bet365 to retain their title, although there are question marks over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, with the so-called dynasty potentially about to come to an end.
Manchester City will hope to improve on their quarter final exit after Liverpool dumped them out of last season’s competition and Pep Guardiola’s side are priced at 11/2 to win the Champions League.
Bayern Munich are a 7/1 chance to win the competition, with the German team likely to be featuring at the business end. Paris Saint-Germain are 9/1 to claim the spoils under Thomas Tuchel and they could be an interesting prospect under the German.
Manchester United are a 14/1 chance and don’t look like a team about to assault the Champions League with their current squad, with Atletico Madrid 14/1 as they hope to build on last season’s Europa League triumph.
