Manchester City strong favourites to claim successive titles, while the bookmakers have Liverpool as second favourites

Manchester City have won the Premier League title at a canter, with Pep Guardiola’s side getting it in the bag with five games remaining.

It means a highly successful season for the Citizens and bookmaker bet365 think we’ll have more of the same next time around, with their traders chalking up odds of 4/6 about a successive title win for the champions.

City have won 28 of their 33 Premier League matches this season, with the only defeats occurring away to Liverpool and at home to Manchester United. There have been 93 goals scored and the PFA Team of the Year is sure to be littered with players wearing sky blue shirts.

However, perhaps the title race will be closer next term and bet365 go 5/1 that Liverpool are champions instead, meaning that they are second favourites.

The Reds have clearly turned heads this season with a spate of impressive performances, especially in Europe where they have put Porto and Manchester City to the sword en route to the semi-finals.

With Jurgen Klopp expected to keep the club’s star players including Mohamed Salah, then they could be viable contenders, while Manchester United will also be looking to bridge the gap.

United are a 6/1 chance with bet365 and there are likely to be personnel changes at Old Trafford during the summer which could see Paul Pogba leave the club.

Jose Mourinho has questioned the mentality of his players and perhaps he will seek to make changes within the squad, with a 1-0 defeat at home to West Brom an illustration of this.

Chelsea are a 12/1 chance to rediscover the title-winning form of last season and win the 2018/19 title, while Tottenham are a 12/1 poke to win the league back at White Hart Lane. Arsenal are as big as 25/1 to win the title and appear to be regressing.

All odds were correct at time of posting.
