Manchester City cut to win Champions League after draw

City now 9/2 after receiving a favourable 2018/19 Champions League draw

Manchester City were denied at the quarter final stage of the Champions League last season although they’re regarded as the team to beat this time around.

Following a group draw which is likely to see Pep Guardiola’s team go through unscathed, BetVictor offer odds of 9/2 that City are crowned champions of Europe.

City are once again facing Shakhtar Donetsk at the group stage along with Lyon and Hoffenheim, with most bookmakers erring on the side of caution when it comes to a team that won the English Premier League by a street last season.

FC Barcelona remained at odds of 6/1 following the draw which pitches the Catalan club into the same group as Tottenham along with PSV Eindhoven and Internazionale.

Juventus have had a few near misses in recent seasons although the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo within the ranks will inspire several people to back the Turin team and William Hill have 7/1 about the Old Lady.

Ronaldo will return to Old Trafford this season to face Manchester United and the Red Devils are a 9/4 chance to win that particular group which also includes Valencia and Young Boys.

United are as big as 33/1 on the outright market which illustrates how much their stock has fallen.

PSG are an 8/1 chance and the draw has thrown the French champions in with Napoli and Liverpool for what should be a tantalising spectacle.

Red Star Belgrade look like the unlucky team competing against three of the best in Europe, with Liverpool’s outright Champions League odds out to 14/1 with one bookie following the draw.

All odds were correct at time of posting.
