David Moyes could be the next Celtic manager according to the odds at Paddy Power
Celtic supporters are delighted that Ronny Deila is leaving Glasgow at the end of the season, with the club announcing that the Norwegian will be parting company after an indifferent spell in charge at Celtic Park.
Now attention turns to his potential replacement and it appears that David Moyes could be interested in returning to football management and taking the reins.
Paddy Power make Moyes their even money favourite to replace Deila and the Scot certainly knows the magnitude of managing a big club, having taken charge of Everton for several years before an ill-fated spell at Old Trafford.
More recently, Moyes expanded his horizons by managing Real Sociedad and could be set for his latest chapter at a club who will be competing against Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premiership once more.
Neil Lennon is a 3/1 shot with Paddy Power to return for a second stint at Celtic Park, with the Northern Irishman having recently left his post at Bolton Wanderers as the Lancashire club sink down into League One.
However, Lennon wasn’t completely to blame for the club’s demise and certainly had his moments at Celtic the first time round.
Owen Coyle is a 6/1 chance although he’s another former Bolton manager with an indifferent track record, while Roy Keane is a 5/1 poke although the former Manchester United player might not be interested in taking a managerial role anymore.
Alan Stubbs is 12/1 and the Hibernian boss has ties to Celtic after previously playing there. He’s also gone up against Rangers this term in the Scottish Championship although perhaps the Glasgow club are looking for someone with more experience.
All odds were correct at time of posting.
