Sherwood lined up to become the next QPR manager, with BetVictor going odds-on
Harry Redknapp has walked away from Queens Park Rangers after feeling he can’t give 100% to the cause thanks to his ailing knees, with the west London club now having to make a quick decision about their next manager.
Tim Sherwood is the 4/9 favourite with BetVictor to replace Redknapp, with the former Tottenham Hotspur manager eager to get back into the game and holding out for a Premier League role.
Sherwood has narrowly missed out on a spate of vacant roles, with this opening becoming surprisingly available just after the January transfer deadline, with Redknapp slightly frustrated at not being able to land a series of targets.
However, it appears that an impending knee operation is the root cause for Redknapp walking away from the club, with Sherwood the bookies favourite, although Glenn Hoddle is priced at 4/1 and is already at Loftus Road.
Hoddle has a wealth of managerial experience, having taken charge of the England team along with the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Southampton.
Les Ferdinand has taken temporary charge at QPR and he’s an 8/1 poke to take the reins, with owner Tony Fernandes potentially ready to appoint a caretaker manager to get the team out of trouble before taking stock in the summer.
QPR’s away form this season has been nothing short of appalling, with Rangers failing to pick up a point all term, although they are still within touching distance of safety.
