Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City both 4/1 to be relegated

Bookies expect Blackburn to suffer drop from Championship, with Harry Redknapp taking over at St Andrews

Rotherham United are already down and Wigan Athletic also look doomed this season, although the third relegation berth in the Championship is less clear-cut after Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City both suffered defeats on Easter Monday.

Blackburn Rovers managed a 1-1 draw against Bristol City although Tony Mowbray’s side are a point away from danger with three games remaining and Stan James make them an 8/13 chance to go down to League One.

The team directly above Rovers is Nottingham Forest who looked as though they would pull clear of the drop zone when recently beating Huddersfield Town in convincing fashion.

However, a home defeat against Blackburn was followed by another reverse against Cardiff, with Mark Warburton hoping that his team can bounce back in their final three matches.

Bet365 consider a Forest relegation as unlikely and offer 4/1 about the Midlands side suffering the drop, while free-falling Birmingham City are also expected to stay up despite a catastrophic time of things under Gianfranco Zola.

The Blues are a 4/1 poke to remain in the Championship, with Harry Redknapp being drafted in to take charge at St Andrews and the former Tottenham and West Ham manager is expected to perform a rescue act of sorts.

Burton Albion look to have succeeded in their quest to remain in the Championship, with the Brewers now 20/1 to go down with Sky Bet. Nigel Clough’s side have proved to be hardy competitors and should now get over the line.
