Paddy reckon that Coutinho will leave Liverpool and head to Barcelona, with the bookie paying out all bets
Philippe Coutinho was persuaded to remain a Liverpool FC player last summer, although Barcelona are clearly intent on signing the Brazilian in January and it appears as though a deal can be struck.
Jurgen Klopp chose neither to confirm or deny that Coutinho would be leaving the Merseyside club in January, with the German stating nothing further needed to be said on the matter, although bookmaker Paddy Power think a deal might be struck before the end of the month.
The Irish firm have decided to pay out on anyone who has backed Coutinho to join the Catalan club, with Paddy admitting they’ve had enough of the speculation and think it will result in a megabucks deal which could see Liverpool receive £150 million from the Spanish outfit.
Paddy Power told bookies.com: “The Nike incident, the fact that Coutinho isn’t playing against Everton in the FA Cup and him missing the recent match at Burnley adds fuel to the fire.
“It is clear that Coutinho wants to get that dream move to the Nou Camp and perhaps Liverpool’s signing of Virgin van Dijk for £75 million suggests that they are about to receive a windfall roughly twice that for Coutinho.”
It would represent a big blow to Liverpool supporters and the club’s hopes of landing a top four spot this season, with the Reds having a “Fab Four” which includes Coutinho along with Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
All odds were correct at time of posting.
