Premier League 2015/16 fixtures announced – Manchester United face Spurs in opener

Sergio Aguero

Manchester United and Tottenham meet at Old Trafford, with champions Chelsea hosting Swansea City

The fixtures are out for the Premier League season and Chelsea will begin their title defence against Swansea.

The Blues were facile winners of the title last term and will be heavy favourites to begin with a three-point haul, although the second match is a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face a strong Manchester City team.

Meanwhile, there is a London derby at the Emirates Stadium when Arsenal face West Ham United, while new boys Bournemouth will be happy to be playing at home against an Aston Villa side who narrowly escaped the drop last term.

Watford begin life back in the Premier League with a trip to Goodison Park, while Norwich City are at Carrow Road to face Crystal Palace.

The tie of the opening weekend is Manchester United against Tottenham, with both sides harbouring Champions League spot aspirations and the Red Devils potentially going for the title this season.

Leicester City and Sunderland clash at the King Power Stadium, while Newcastle begin life under Steve McClaren with a tie against Southampton.

There’s a repeat of the final game of last season when Stoke go up against Liverpool and it was the Potters who claimed an amazing 6-1 win last time out.

West Brom face Manchester City at The Hawthorns and perhaps Raheem Sterling will be lining up against the Baggies for this match. We’re expecting Sergio Aguero to win the Golden Boot next season and he could open his account this game.
