Spain 7/2 to win inaugural Nations League crown after 2-1 Wembley triumph
The first round of Nations League games have now been played, with Spain showing no ill-effects of their dismal showing at the 2018 World Cup when beating England.
La Roja were deserving winners at Wembley despite the Three Lions having an equaliser controversially chalked off, with bookmaker bet365 going 7/2 that Luis Enrique’s are crowned Nations League champions.
They’re certainly in pole position as far as their group is concerned, with France also enjoying a strong start to the Nations League after a goalless draw in Germany was followed by a 2-1 success against the Netherlands.
Les Bleus are now 4/1 with BetVictor to win this competition and look set to take their place in the semi-finals, although Germany will still fancy their chances of getting out of that tough group and Unibet have 13/2 that they win the thing.
Belgium looked to be in excellent nick when beating Scotland in a friendly and Ladbrokes have 5/1 that the Red Devils win this competition, with many regarding Roberto Martinez’s side as the best during the World Cup.
Croatia are as big as 17/1 and have the dubious prospect of having to compete against England and Spain in their group, with England out to the same price following their 2-1 reverse at Wembley.
Italy are also the same price after a 1-1 draw against Poland, although either of these sides will go through in addition to Portugal and this looks like an evenly-matched group.
