Ore Oduba could dance his way to the Strictly glitterball and looks tailor-made for the BBC show
Will Young, Louise Redknapp and Greg Rutherford are the household names in the 2016 series of Strictly Come Dancing, although there is a lesser-known celebrity who could be worth chancing at big odds.
Ore Oduba is more recognisable by face than name, with the BBC Sport presenter having recently finished his reporting at the Rio Olympics where he came across as a friendly, bubbly and energetic soul.
Oduba will now take his chance on the Strictly dancefloor and his odds of 12/1 betray the fact that this guy can bust a few moves.
Check out this performance for Comic Relief in 2013.
Convinced now huh? The great news is that bet365 are offering 12/1 and this likeable guy has been paired with Joanne Clifton, the bubbly sister of Kevin Clifton who was without a dance partner for the last series.
She’s well known and the pair should form a great double act, with Oduba’s odds sure to shorten as the field gets whittled down.
Claudia Fragapane and Will Young are the early favourites, with the former famous for her gymnastics although whether she has the dance skills or personality to match is another matter.
Young is too short on the basis of who he is and doesn’t seem like a natural mover, while Louise Redknapp is a 7/1 shot who could go far, although she hasn’t been a pop star for several years (decades?) and could bow out towards the end.
We don’t know much about Laura Whitmore or Danny Mac, both of whom are easy on the eye although we’re happy to take Ore to strike gold on this reality television show and walk away with the main prize.
All odds were correct at time of posting.
