The hapless Sam was removed from “the process” on Wednesday night which came as a surprise to precisely nobody. The private tutor couldn’t work a calculator and it was previously beyond him to select two fellow team-mates to join him in the boardroom. What beggared belief was that Lord Sugar kept him in The Apprentice for so long.

The only downside to Sam leaving was that Selina remained and she ranks pretty high on the “most despicable candidates ever to appear on the show”. Having nothing nice to say to anyone and being constantly negative have helped her into the final nine although her card is clearly marked.

The other team are undoubtedly strongest at the moment, with Joseph, Richard and Charleine all very determined and strong on the sales front. It would appear by looking at the latest odds that Joseph is going to make the final two along with the impressive Vana who appears to be the only class act left in the red team.

Brett is a meat-head, Scott buckles under the pressure, David is a bit weak and Gary is jovial enough but not Apprentice material. Richard is probably going to smarm his way into trouble at some stage, perhaps with a business proposal so smug that Lord Sugar tears it to shreds at the interview stage.

So as it stands, we’re looking at a Joseph v Vana final, with Selina and David set for the chop in coming weeks.
