World Cup fixtures and betting tips – Thursday 28 June

It’s the final day of 2018 World Cup group games, with England clashing with Belgium for top spot in Group G

What happens during the Group H matches on Thursday could have a bearing on the Group G games later in the day, with England and Belgium preferring to face Japan or Senegal compared to a possible last sixteen clash against Colombia.

Japan 15:00 Poland
Senegal 15:00 Colombia

England 19:00 Belgium
Panama 19:00 Tunisia

Gareth Southgate is tempted to field a relatively strong team against the Red Devils, with England in fine form after wiping the floor with Panama and they might face opponents who are missing Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard.

It’s certain that Jan Vertonghen and Kevin de Bruyne will miss this clash and we’re happy to get with England to claim the spoils, albeit at small stakes.

Tunisia clashing with Panama is a dead rubber and we might see a high-scoring match between two teams who can play freely but will be determined to record a World Cup win.

In Group H, we’re really sweet on Colombia’s chances of winning the match, with the Cafeteros looking very dangerous against Poland and they can overcome a Senegal team who won’t be sure of attacking or defending.

The Lions of Teranga have conceded in both matches to date, with the African side potentially vulnerable against the attacking runs of James Rodriguez, Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado.

Poland will be looking to restore some pride against Japan although the Blue Samurai could still be underrated in this clash and we think they are worth supporting here.
