The NFC East rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants is one of the oldest in NFL history with the first meeting occurring in 1960.

One of the more memorable games in this rivalry occurred in 1993 during the final week of the NFL season. Both teams were competing for the No. 1 seed in the NFC, and it took a warrior-like performance from running back Emmitt Smith for Dallas to get the narrow win in overtime.
