It’s back to basketball Sunday for the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks surrounded by the NBA Bubble at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida as their best-of-seven NBA Western Conference semifinals series resumes with Game 6.

These teams last played Tuesday as the Clippers demolished the Mavericks with a franchise-record 154 points in a 43-point rout. The Clippers hit their apex in the postseason, it seemed, and were poised to finish off Dallas two nights later. But then basketball stopped and real-world events seized the stage from sports.

One reason for the prohibitive spread and money-line weight on the Clippers is because the Mavericks will be without Kristaps Porzingis. He is out of the rest of this series due to a torn meniscus. Porzingis has been a stalwart for the Mavericks throughout their run in the Bubble. That run could end Sunday.

The Clippers could benefit from the return of Patrick Beverly, who has been sidelined with a calf strain for four games. He is expected to play Sunday. His replacement – Landry Shamet – is averaging 12 points and shooting above 50% or better from 3-point range nightly.

The Clippers hold the leading edge in the NBA futures betting market at +280 to win the NBA 2020 championship. The Clippers are also +140 to win the West at BetMGM.
