Today's Best MLB Bets
PICK 1: Mets Moneyline
Most games are coin flips on the final day of the season, so I primarily want to go against teams playoff teams playing for nothing against teams that are out of contention. The Mets fit the bill today and should have more starters in than the Braves. They are worth a shot as a small favorite at home.
PICK 2: Royals Moneyline
Why pay a huge premium on a team playing for nothing when you can bet on a bad team at +168 that will play harder and with more purpose? You have to take chances on the final day of the regular season. Too much uncertainty on who is playing for the Twins and how hard they will play. Load up on heavy dogs.
PICK 3: Rangers Moneyline
Another large underdog with a solid pitcher going against a team that has nothing to play for today. Bad teams are more likely to play their starters in these situations, and sportsbooks still give out pricey lines on the usual big favorites. Take advantage of the value here as this has been a good trend to end the season.
PICK 4: Rangers-Yankees Run Total
The Rangers have a bad bullpen. The Yankees score runs. The Yankees will not pitch their good relievers. The Rangers score runs. See a trend here? Expect runs, especially late runs, and some bad pitching Sunday in Texas.
