Week 7 was one of the toughest DFS weeks in recent memory as there were several significant injuries to highly owned players such as David Johnson, Adam Thielen, Will Fuller and Evan Engram. To make things even more difficult, if you didn't play Aaron Rodgers, Chase Edmonds or Marvin Jones, it was likely difficult to cash in any tournament.

Week 8 should be another exciting DFS week with several games that could produce a ton of points.

Best Week 8 DFS QB

Lions QB Matthew Stafford ($6,100 on DraftKings)

Matchup: Detroit Lions vs New York Giants

There are several fantastic quarterback plays in Week 8, such as Russell Wilson facing Atlanta's defense and Deshaun Watson hosting the Oakland Raiders. But if you don't want to "pay-up" for a top-tier quarterback, consider playing Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions.

Stafford is coming off a 32-point week as he lit up the Minnesota Vikings defense to the tune of 364 yards and four touchdowns. He will be home once again in Week 8 as the Lions take on the pathetic Giants defense. New York has already allowed big games to players such as Dak Prescott, Tom Brady, Jameis Winston and Kirk Cousins, and don't expect anything to change this week. With Kerryon Johnson likely out for the Lions, Stafford is probably going to be forced to throw the ball a ton again this week. At $6,100, Stafford is a nice fade from Wilson and Watson.

Best Week 8 DFS RB

Seahawks RB Chris Carson ($7,100 on DraftKings)

Matchup: Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons

NFL Week 8 DFS Picks: Why Matt Stafford is the QB of Choice 1

Another way you can fade Russell Wilson is by playing his starting running back, Chris Carson, instead. While Atlanta is better against the run than they are the pass, that's not saying much. They've allowed over 135 rushing yards in three of their seven games this season and allow teams to score points at will.

It's very likely Carson will see multiple touches near the end zone in this game as he has quickly developed into one of the league's workhorse backs. He has carried the ball at least 15 times in every single game this season, and his workload is only growing. Over the last four weeks, Carson touched the ball 106 times and tallied 501 total yards and two touchdowns. With a good matchup on deck and a guaranteed workload, Carson is a good play at $7,100 as an RB1.

Best Week 8 DFS WR

Broncos WR Courtland Sutton ($5,300 on DraftKings)

Matchup: Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts

Typically, it's wise to stack a receiving option with your quarterback, but it was too tough to decide between Marvin Jones Jr. and Kenny Golladay this week. One of the two needs to be in your lineup, but good luck picking which one will have the big day against the Giants secondary.

However, there is another receiver you should consider playing this week, along with one of the Lions wideouts, Courtland Sutton of the Denver Broncos. It didn't take long for Sutton to become Joe Flacco's favorite receiver in Denver's offense, as he has totaled at least 75 receiving yards in five of the team's seven games. More importantly, he is a consistent part of the Broncos' weekly gameplan, earning at least seven targets in every game this season.

In Week 8, Sutton will face a Colts defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. While Denver's offense is less than exciting, Sutton is a good value given his upside and cheap price.

Best Week 8 DFS TE

Rams TE Gerald Everett ($4,300 on DraftKings)

Matchup: Los Angeles Rams vs Cincinnati Bengals

NFL Week 8 DFS Picks: Why Matt Stafford is the QB of Choice 2

All of a sudden, tight end Gerald Everett has become an essential piece of the Los Angeles Rams' passing attack. No longer is he just a complementary piece, but he is a player who is seeing a healthy workload every game. Over the last four weeks, Everett has had 34 targets and converted them into 18 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns. With that many targets, Everett should have some pretty big games on the horizon.

In Week 8, the Rams will take on the 0-7 Bengals in Los Angeles, and the Rams should have no problem putting points up on the board. If Everett is matched up against the slow linebackers of the Bengals, he could be in for a big day. There is undoubtedly a chance Everrett busts this week, but he is a good gamble to take at just $4,300.

Best Week 8 DFS Flex

Texans WR Kenny Still ($4,700 on DraftKings)

Matchup: Houston Texans vs Oakland Raiders

With starting wide receiver Will Fuller suffering a hamstring injury in the first quarter against the Colts, it was veteran Kenny Stills who replaced him in the starting lineup. Stills went on to catch four passes for 105 yards on just five targets with Fuller out.

This week, the Texans will host the Raiders, who just allowed six touchdowns to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Oakland also just traded away their best cornerback Gareon Conley, coincidentally to Houston, making this matchup all the better for Stills. Look for Stills to be covered by rookie cornerback Trayvon Mullen, who will likely get the first start of his career. At just the small price of $4,700, Stills a fantastic flex play in Week 8.
