Washington Wizards Odds, Betting Guide & Picks for 2019-20
The Washington Wizards are in full rebuild mode. As they build around Bradley Beal, there’s not much else to get excited about on the roster. They will need to wait for John Wall’s Achilles injury to be healed and for a few bad contracts to expire before they think about the postseason again. It could be a long season in the nation’s capital.
Here’s the key odds available and how you should bet them:
Wizards Win-Total Betting
The Line: 27.5 with SugarHouse
The Wizards managed 32 wins last season with a much more talented roster than the one they enter this season with. Their depth is a serious issue, Isaiah Thomas is already injured and Beal can only do so much. They could also tank late in the season.
The Bet: It’ll be tough for them to get into the high 20s in victories. The under looks safe here.
Wizards Southeast Division Odds
The Line: +7500 with DraftKings
The Southeast is weak, but the Magic, Heat and Hawks are much more talented teams than Washington right now. The Wizards have no real shot to leap all three, even with such long odds.
The Bet: Avoid this one.
Wizards Eastern Conference Odds
The Line: +16000 with FanDuel
The Wizards are tied for the worst odds in the East, and rightfully so. They offer little upside past Beal and would need a First Team All-NBA effort from him to even sniff the playoffs.
The Bet: Stay far, far away.
Wizards NBA Title Odds
The Line: +50000 with 888sport
Tied for the worst title odds in the NBA, the Wizards need to completely retool their roster over the next few seasons before they’re thinking of playing in May or June.
The Bet: These odds offer no value. Move along.
Best Wizards Player Prop Bets
Beal is the real deal. No matter how poorly the Wizards play, Beal is going to post monster numbers and should be a lock to make his third straight All-Star appearance. These odds aren’t outstanding, but Beal is a solid bet. Plus, he could be playing for another team by the time February rolls around, which would only strengthen his credentials.
The Bet: This one is a lock, even if the payoff isn’t great.
