WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 Betting Odds, Picks & Analysis

This is one of the biggest weeks in the history of pro wrestling, especially in the modern era. WWE is dominating TV screens with a full-court press of premieres with Raw and NXT on USA Network leading up to Friday Night Smackdown’s big debut on mainstream platform Fox.

Capping it off is Hell in a Cell (HIAC) on Oct. 6, available on pay-per-view and WWE Network. Let’s take a look at three of the biggest matches on the card. With the draft on the horizon, who will have the edge when it’s time to choose Raw or Smackdown picks?

PICK 1: Seth Rollins vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

It was a slow burn watching Bray Wyatt transform out of the “Firefly FunHouse” and into “The Fiend.” The patience has paid off in a major way with the dark extension of Wyatt’s character taking out legend after legend, from Mick Foley to Kurt Angle.

His "friends" list began at SummerSlam with Finn Balor falling as the first victim. Now, Wyatt has the devious eyes set on Universal title holder Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell. “The Fiend” has been well protected by WWE to this point and with the match hosted inside the Hell in a Cell, I can’t see many scenarios where Wyatt, arguably the hottest thing in the business, doesn't leave with the Universal Championship.

Too much has been invested into Wyatt for him to slow down. There is a level of intrigue on what would happen with the multi-dimensional performer at the top of the mountain. Rollins was also hinted in another direction, captaining Team Hogan against Team Orton at the next Crown Jewel show. You can bet on Wyatt becoming Universal champion at a whopping -625 at 888sport. If the -625 is too steep for you, an intriguing prop bet to consider is Rollins and Lynch leaving Hell in a Cell with no belts at -200. That brings us to the Raw Women's Championship match.

PICK 2: Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks

Since Sasha Banks returned from hiatus, she has been on a tear in the women’s division. The result has been a fiery feud with “The Man” Becky Lynch. They’ve brawled and battled going back to their days in NXT. It’s a rivalry that didn’t get settled at the last pay-per-view, Clash of Champions.

The Hell in a Cell match could be the ultimate battleground for these two hot-headed combatants. It’s a similar situation with Wyatt where Banks has built up all the equity since her return, a loss would just slow down all that was done to put her back at the forefront of the women’s division.

Plus, I think WWE is aiming for the vision of having Bayley and Banks parading around with their trophies. In other words, the recently engaged couple of Rollins and Lynch might be in for a long night. You can bet on “The Boss” Sasha Banks to take the women’s championship from Lynch at -295. Interestingly enough, Sasha vs. Becky is favored to get more bell-to-bell time than the Universal Championship match at Hell in a Cell which is intriguing at -250 on 888sport.

PICK 3: Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan

Erick Rowan has had one of the most unexpected singles runs of the year with wins over Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. Working alongside the latter did wonders for Rowan in a sense of being seen in a different light. The weeks of mystery took some unexpected turns until WWE decided to give the former Wyatt family member a carrot as Reigns' unknown attacker.

Rowan has truly taken the ball, killing it on the microphone and stepping up in the ring. The reintroduction of his “Bludgeon Brother” Luke Harper only helped keep the momentum going. It seems the dominant duo has the number on Bryan and Reigns. These strange bedfellows have since come together with common enemies in a tag-team scenario. It’s about time Bryan and Reigns get their win back as WWE likes to do. The star power combined is leaning my bet to sway in the direction of “The Big Dog” and the once head of the “Yes Movement.” You can bet on Reigns and Bryan to win at -360 on 888sport.
