Arsenal matches are averaging nearly four goals since the season began. Aside from a hard-fought goalless draw at the King Power Stadium, all the Gunners games have seen the net bulge at least three teams.

Similarly, all of Chelsea’s seven matches to date have been great for Overs backers and there’s little reason to think this run will end when the London derby takes place on Saturday evening.

Arsene Wenger will field a typically attacking line-up and his team have scored four goals in recent matches against Hull and Nottingham Forest. New signing Lucas Perez bagged a brace at the City Ground and will be chomping at the bit to be involved here.

However, Alexis Sanchez is likely to continue in attack, with Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi enjoying some bright early season form, even if Arsenal have kept just the one Premier League clean sheet so far.

Chelsea’s defence has been porous all season, with John Terry’s absence from the team exacerbating that issue and even the signing of N’Golo Kante hasn’t prevented goals being leaked.

They do benefit from having Diego Costa in fine form and steering relatively clear of trouble, although there’s always a red card in the striker and he has previous when it comes to feisty encounters such as this one.

Cesc Fabregas is knocking on the door for a recall after playing well at the King Power on Tuesday night, with Chelsea having scored twice in their two away top flight games to date.

Therefore, while we’re leaning slightly towards Arsenal when it comes to the match odds, let’s instead back Over 2.5 Goals and fetch the popcorn.
