Arsenal are clearly a much better team with Alexis Sanchez and the Chilean made all the difference last weekend as the Gunners claimed a 2-1 victory at Selhurst Park.

Sanchez was given some time off following a successful Copa America campaign during the summer, although the forward has been itching to get involved and he headed home the winner against Crystal Palace via Damien Delaney’s boot.

Now Arsenal have the chance to get things right at the Emirates, having been surprisingly beaten 2-0 at home to West Ham in their first game.

Arsene Wenger will demand total focus for this match, although it should be a game where Arsenal can come through with flying colours, especially with Sanchez looking lively and starting to return to full fitness.

Olivier Giroud will continue leading the line, with Aaron Ramsey likely to be part of an attacking trident featuring Mesut Ozil and Sanchez, while Santi Cazorla will sit deeper alongside Francis Coquelin.

Liverpool arrive full of confidence after back-to-back wins against Stoke and Bournemouth although this represents a far tougher assignment and the 1-0 victories can be filed under “hard-fought” rather than achieved with ease.

Jordan Henderson is an injury concern with a foot injury and Liverpool looked a little off the pace without their captain during the second half against the Cherries.

Christian Benteke is clearly a class act who will need close attention in attack, although there’s an over-reliance on Philippe Coutinho for creativity and Arsenal can be confident of getting the better of their opponents during the ninety minutes.
