Graeme Souness has said he’d stand on his head if Arsenal end up winning the league after a meek performance at Old Trafford which saw Manchester United run out 3-2 winners on Sunday.

It put a serious dent in Arsenal’s hopes of a first league title in twelve years, with Arsene Wenger fully aware that a failure to beat Swansea on Wednesday night would leave them scrambling behind Leicester and Tottenham.

Predictably, the Gunners are super-short to win this game of football, although Arsenal haven’t exactly been home bankers this season, winning eight of thirteen matches.

They were also held against Hull City in the FA Cup even if this was a largely reserve team lining up against the Tigers.

Morale is clearly low after the Barcelona and Manchester United reverses, with Swansea attempting a hatchet job and it’s worth noting that the Welsh side won at the Emirates this term.

Swansea took the lead against Tottenham on Sunday before two late goals from the home side kept Francesco Guidolin’s side loitering dangerously close to the drop zone.

No prizes for guessing that the visitors will employ a 4-5-1 formation and Alberto Paloschi might be chasing after scraps all game, although the occasional set piece will come the way of City.

The bottom line is that there is pressure on Arsenal to deliver and this is a Gunners side who have scored just eighteen goals in thirteen home matches. Three of these came against Manchester United.

Therefore, getting with the visitors on the handicap looks like the logical bet.
