Eddie Howe has been held up as a young progressive English manager and there is plenty to like about the work he’s done with Bournemouth who have become a Premier League club without spending megabucks.

However, the Cherries are in a relegation battle and it’s noticeable that the clubs around them bar Southampton have changed their manager in a bid to pull away from the drop zone.

Howe continues to adopt a positive attacking football style, although his team have lost 50% of their twenty-two top flight matches and there have been a sum total of five wins all season.

Bournemouth supporters are a realistic bunch although it’s been really tough for the Dorset team since beating Huddersfield 4-0 in the middle of November. Wins have been hard to find and the only three-point haul came against Everton in a recent 2-1 win.

Last season’s clash saw six goals scored at the Vitality Stadium, with Bournemouth racing into a 3-0 lead before the Gunners came haring back.

Arsenal are certainly capable of scoring more in this clash, with Alexis Sanchez currently staying put at the Emirates and it doesn’t appear as though Manchester City are ready to move for the Chilean just yet.

The Gunners recently served it up to Crystal Palace when winning 3-2 at Selhurst Park and they exploded into life again when drawing 2-2 with Chelsea at home.

You can draw a line through that 4-2 defeat at Nottingham Forest considering it was a second string team lining up for that clash and we’re happy to get with Arsenal to win and both teams finding the net here.
