Betting Tip: Wrexham @ 7/5 with betvictor

It’s seventh versus sixth in front of the BT Sport cameras on Friday night, with Braintree entertaining Wrexham and the prize will be a play-off spot in the National League.

Both sides have a healthy return of forty points from twenty-three matches played, although it is Wrexham who seem better equipped to make a promotion assault this term and they come into this game off the back of several wins.

Gary Mills’ side have enjoyed five victories in their past six matches and Saturday’s 4-2 win at Prenton Park in the FA Trophy illustrates that this is a team bang in form and firing in the goals.

Dominic Vose is having an excellent season in midfield for Wrexham, with the Welsh side having recorded league wins away to Torquay and Aldershot recently.

As for Braintree, they have lost just one match in their last eight, having won most recently at Prenton Park, although it’s worth noting that their best form comes on the road rather than Cressing Road.

Town seem stifled in front of their own supporters where they have to make the play and they might struggle to tame Wrexham on Friday night, with the visitors adept at landing a 1-0 scoreline on the road in recent weeks.
