It’s been an FA Cup of supposed shocks, with the likes of Millwall, Oxford, Sutton United and Lincoln City reaching the fifth round by beating weakened higher-ranked opponents.

The Red Imps have dumped out Ipswich Town and Brighton & Hove Albion to reach this stage of the competition, with Danny Cowley juggling giant-killing duties with the aim of getting Lincoln promoted back to the Football League.

It’s all been very impressive although the fifth round draw was far from kind considering that Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City were among the clubs available for a bumper payday.

Burnley away is a tricky old fixture and hardly the most glamorous one either, with Sean Dyche’s side proving a tough nut to crack even for the best teams in the land as Chelsea can testify after Sunday’s 1-1 draw.

Dyche will surely field his strongest possible team and, from Burnley’s perspective, this represents a magnificent opportunity to try and win some silverware considering several other clubs are far more distracted by other competitions.

Burnley will stick to their usual playing style and they have registered nine wins at home in the Premier League this season which is a fabulous achievement considering the competitiveness of the top flight.

Lincoln have won the majority of away games in the National League although they’ve been beaten four times and quite recently by a 3-0 scoreline at Barrow.

Theo Robinson has left the club recently and we’ll oppose Lincoln to the extent that we don’t expect them to find the net.
