Manchester City are going along swimmingly under Pep Guardiola, with the Spaniard taking little time to implement his footballing philosophy at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola has adjusted the squad a little by recruiting the likes of Claudio Bravo, John Stones, Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan, although the main stars have been the front three of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne.

De Bruyne will be absent for this Champions League clash and the Belgian has been the chief playmaker for a side boasting a 100% record in all competitions this term, with Sterling expected to occupy a more central space.

We know that this City side are full of goals although clean sheets have been a scarcity and Celtic will certainly be playing on the front foot as they aim to haul themselves back into contention.

Brendan Rodgers’ side lost their group opener 7-0 at the Nou Camp, although that represented probably the toughest assignment of the section and the former Liverpool boss will hope his team can draw on home comforts.

There’s certainly a fantastic atmosphere generated by the Celtic fans for these sort of encounters, with the Hoops having enjoyed a 6-1 victory against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Moussa Dembele has already plundered ten goals for the season and the French striker can continue to find the net against City although we will surely see the Premier League leaders find the net multiple times too.
