Crystal Palace are in grave danger of landing more points on the road than at Selhurst Park this season, despite the noise that is generated by the home supporters.

Alan Pardew’s Eagles were fantastic on their travels last season and have landed wins at Chelsea, Norwich and Watford so far, although they have managed a solitary home win from three games.

Slender defeats against Manchester City and Arsenal lend mitigating circumstances although can we really trust Palace at odds-on to beat a team set on defending for their lives and coming away with at least a point?

Gareth McAuley could return alongside Jonny Evans in central defence, with Pulis having been happy with his team’s performance when going 2-0 up, only for Everton to come storming back on Monday.

West Brom will have no fears in this fixture and they have kept successive clean sheets away to Aston Villa, Stoke and Watford. In the first two fixtures, they have walked off with 1-0 victories and were especially impressive when keeping the Villans at bay.

It points to a low-scoring encounter on Saturday lunchtime and we’re tempted to go for Under 1.5 Goals which lends more value than Under 2.5 Goals.

The Baggies won’t be in the least bit ambitious, hoping that Saido Berahino can latch on to a chance, with Claudio Yacob operating in front of the back four and being ably assisted by Darren Fletcher.

It won’t be pretty but it will thwart a Palace side who are looking to build on those four wins out of seven, with Pardew well aware that the visitors will be looking for a sucker-punch.
