Peru were probably the most impressive team on Day 3 of the 2018 World Cup, with Los Incas tearing apart Denmark and somehow failing to put the ball in the net.

The South Americans missed a first-half penalty and then a glut of chances after falling behind, with Denmark having to defend stoutly and it’s a surprise to see the Scandinavian side as odds-on favourites for this clash.

Christian Eriksen aside, this looks like a modest team from an attacking point-of-view, with the majority of other quality players thriving in a defensive position, such as goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and defenders Simon Kjaer and Andreas Christensen.

Australia played pretty well against France and could easily have earned a point from their first encounter, with the Socceroos easily nullifying a front three of Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele.

Bert van Marwijk knows that his team probably need a win from this match in order to stand a chance of qualifying, with Aaron Mooy and Mile Jedinak potentially holding the aces in midfield.

The draw offers the best value on the 1×2 market and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a 1-1 scoreline which would suit the Danes who already sit on three points.
