Despite the 0-0 scoreline on Friday night, England acquitted themselves well against world champions Germany in what was an entertaining game, with several fringe players impressing against prestigious opposition.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek was the headline-grabber as the relatively unknown player got his chance to shine against the Germans, with the midfielder on loan at Crystal Palace from Chelsea.

It’s possible that Gareth Southgate will field the player against Brazil considering that several players are missing including Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Adam Lallana.

We should also see Marcus Rashford, Gary Cahill, Kyle Walker and Joe Hart all featuring for England, with more experience required for the visit of a team who look like they mean business.

It appears that Brazil are taking this game very seriously, with the South American team beating Japan 3-1 on Friday and that should mean Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Casemiro among the players on view.

The Brazilians have a strong pedigree but we should note that this is a friendly game and the Three Lions don’t tend to lose many games at Wembley, with Southgate’s players looking to prove themselves just a few months ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
