Marco Silva will have spent the international break ruminating over a recent 1-1 draw against Huddersfield, with Everton amassing five points from their opening four Premier League matches.

The Portuguese manager’s stock was high until that game although a failure to break down the Terriers after drawing quickly level means that the jury is still out on Silva who has to contend without the suspended Richarlison for this clash.

The Brazilian was the marquee signing of the summer and started like a house on fire, although a red card at Bournemouth will prevent Everton having possibly their most dangerous attacking player.

There is also a question mark over Theo Walcott which could give Ademola Lookman a chance to stake his claim in the side, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun also offering attacking options for the home side.

West Ham have zero points from four matches although they’ve at least got away games at Liverpool and Arsenal out of the way, so this is actually their easiest game on the road thus far.

Home defeats against Bournemouth and Wolves illustrate that the London Stadium is far from a happy hunting ground for the Hammers, although Manuel Pellegrini will hope for a change of fortunes here.

Felipe Anderson could turn out to be the best player on the pitch on Sunday, with Marko Arnautovic also a class act and Carlos Sanchez can offer some steel to protect a defence which have shipped ten goals already this term.

It’s not preposterous to suppose that we’ll see an away win at the weekend, especially with players returning from international duty and we’re happy to get against Everton.
