Gunners to seal Liverpool's fate

Liverpool’s defeat against Manchester United means that their Champions League ship has sailed unless they are able to somehow beat Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday.

No Steven Gerrard, no Martin Skrtel and facing a Gunners team who have won nine of their last ten matches. Is there any hope for the visitors?

The answer is probably not, with Brendan Rodgers ruing the team’s performance against the Red Devils a fortnight ago where Liverpool didn’t turn up in the first half and played the remaining 45 minutes with ten men thanks to Gerrard’s “moment of madness”.

Daniel Sturridge should be available despite not turning up for England duty, although Raheem Sterling picked up a toe injury on international duty and the absence of Skrtel means that Liverpool’s defensive rock is missing.

Arsenal are six points better off than their opponents and Arsene Wenger has a plethora of attacking options as the team look to win their seventh Premier League game on the trot. Theo Walcott will be hoping to squeeze into the first team, although Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are kind of hard to lodge, while Olivier Giroud is going through a purple patch in front of goal.

At odds of 17/20, we’re happy to have a punt on the Gunners and include them in weekend multiple bets, with Arsenal generally scoring two goals or more in the top flight since the turn of the year.
